Maryhill Loop Road Rides All the Details

Con­firmed sched­ule for the Mary­hill Loop Road Advanced rid­ing expe­ri­ence.

Registration/sign-up infor­ma­tion will be com­ing soon. This day long oppor­tu­nity is for the rider look­ing to improve their cor­ner­ing skills and com­fort level for our back roads. We have full use of the road, both lanes up and down hill. We will work on street tech­niques and will also prac­tice good lane prac­tices includ­ing full road use and spe­cific lane usage. Prac­tice will include using all the pave­ment as laid, plus stay­ing within our own lanes for good road/discipline.

6/12 — Sat­ur­day — morn­ing is ded­i­cated to advanced 2 wheel train­ing. Meet at 8:30am to cover pre­lim­i­nary road rules, check over bikes (must meet basic safety require­ments) and com­plete class paper work (vehi­cle registration/insurance/class reg­is­tra­tion). We also start the first of the class­room por­tions of the course. The first few exer­cises will focus on find­ing stu­dents strong/weak points in their rid­ing, and group them accord­ingly if pos­si­ble.  Class will be com­pleted around 1pm or so.

Sat­ur­day after­noon is devoted to Instruc­tor train­ing and prac­tice. We will be work­ing on more advanced tech­niques, prac­tice fol­low­ing and not­ing stu­dent issues, play with dif­fer­ent cor­ner­ing apexes and throt­tle techniques.

7/10 — Sat­ur­day

After­noon por­tion (2pm — on) will be devoted to 3 wheel train­ing (side­car, trike). Sim­i­lar to the 2 wheel in class struc­ture. Par­tic­i­pants will need to meet sim­i­lar safety regs and paper­work require­ments. Class will be com­pleted around 6pm or so depend­ing on class size.
